Back to work! TimberStone is still fully open. Although the mornings have been so frosty and cold that we haven't been able to start tee times until nearly 12:00pm. Got caught up on emails and made sure all our merchandise was coming by the first week of March. Was able to close up and head home around 4:00pm. Watched some football, edited some photos and videos.
One of the many great things about my fiance is she is an amazing cook. No, not just follow a recipe type of cook. A cook that can find anything in the pantry and whip it up and make it taste amazing. Trust me if you ever have her food you will not be disappointed. Don't get me started on her cookies either!
It has been a really weird winter here in Boise/Caldwell. There was been no snow and the golf course has been open with an exception of 2 days. The mornings have been getting colder and colder which means the frost has been sticking around a lot longer. If you know anything about grass and frost, they do not mix well. We have been starting tee times around 12:00pm and the fog has been insane. Ive seen my fair share of heavy fog. If you have ever drove from Tremonton to Logan through the swamps you know.
Wednesdays are usually a pretty fun day. Bree and I go with our friends to trivia night. This trivia takes place inside an Albertsons' grocery store. Yes, a grocery store. There is like a little food place in this small upstairs area. You wouldn't believe how many teams show up for this trivia. If you are not 30-45 minutes early you are most likely not getting a table to sit down. Since I joined the team i think the best we have done is 3rd place. I bring down the group average significantly lol. Only category I am solid at is sports, but thats not a surprise to anyone.
Owyhee Storm took on the Timberline Timberwolves in another Southern Idaho Conference (SIC) match up on Thursday. The Storm took care of business winning 76-53. Saturday rolled around and it was the Battle for the Bolt. I'm still not quite sure why or what it is but it was electric lol. Owyhee and Eagle High Schools do some sort of school spirit competition. Im not 100% sure what they are judged on. The gym was absolutely packed!! filled from floor to ceiling. The turnout was significantly different than other games. So one question comes to mind, with Owyhee being not only the best team in the conference but the best team in the whole state of Idaho, why is it not filled nearly every game?
Sunday reset! Bree and I cleaned our whole house, so clean you could eat off the floor. No, literally its that clean. I got my office all cleaned up and camera gear organized and ready to go for the upcoming week. Watching some football, editing photos and videos from the Battle for the Bolt. Also, starting my first docu series with fellow Utah native, Noah Bendinger. Excited to get this going and work on something new! Don't miss out on this series, first episode dropping February 1.
Forgot to mention - got a fresh cut on Friday. Finding a person to cut your hair exactly how you want it is so hard, but finally found a guy here that does a great job. If you need a cut in the Boise area hit up Ben at Uncle Ben's Haircuts. Also, shoutout my sister Rheagen she gives the best men's cuts in Northern Utah. Follow her on IG @rheagenmae.beauty and hit her up if you need a haircut.
