Final Week of January
Started off the week heading back to Boise State to film the Docu Series, 23Ventures, with Noah. I got lucky we were able to get back into the gym and record some more after my audio mishap. He was super cool and understanding. I can promise you and him that this issue wont ever happen again lol. I will definitely always be checking my audio.
Tuesday was a lot more stressful. I head to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. Went and got an echo and stress test. The echo test was essentially and ultrasound but for my heart. They checked my heart and arteries to make sure there were not growths or abnormalities. After that test, i proceeded to another room where they connected some cords all around my chest. I then got on a treadmill and essentially walked then jogged until my heart rate got to 163 bpm. This was a test to monitor my heart rate and blood pressure. Everything during the test felt fine i was just extremely nervous. I didn't hear back about any results until Wednesday around lunch time. I was very scared when i saw the doctors number on my phone, but luckily all the news was good news. Heart and arteries are all normal and nothing to be worried about they said. This was a huge sigh of relief and makes me feel a lot better even though I don't have any clear answers as to whats been happening.
It was my first day back at TimberStone on Wednesday in 2 weeks! I did work some form home but this was my first day back at the course. Was good to see the regular faces again and chop it up. I think I have booked nearly 15 company tournaments for the 2026 season already. The month of June alone we have 11 tournaments with our mens league, mens tournament, and junior camp as well. After closing shop I headed over to Owyhee high school for the boys game taking on Kuna (13-3 overall and 5-1 in conference). Owyhee has moved into a tie for 1st in the conference at 6-1 with Meridian. Meridian has the tie breaker since they beat Owyhee this year. We still have 3 more games in the regular season.
Thursday rubber hit the road. My fiance and I headed south to Salt Lake. We made a little pit stop and saw my family in Tremonton. It was good to see everyone for a couple of hours. I havent been able to see all of my family since Thanksgiving. We then headed to check in to our Hotel. We stayed in the Courtyard by Marriot that is right next to the Delta Center. Highly recommend that hotel if you're staying in SLC. To end the night we went to dinner at Osteria Amore, an Italian restaurant in Salt Lake. Has to be the best Italian restaurant in Utah and we highly recommend.
Friday we headed to pick our cake samples so we could figure out exactly which kind of wedding cake we wanted. There were 6 different flavors but we were able to narrow it down to the one we wanted. After that we headed to Culinary Crafts for our food tasting. When I tell you this food was amazing, it was probably better than most 5 star restaurants. After finishing the food tasting it was time to head to Nordstrom at Fashion Place Mall, where I spent way too much money. I found the perfect suit for our wedding. This is the first real suit I've ever bought and had no idea what I was looking for. The guy helping me was super great. He let me try on a bunch of different types and got me into the perfect one. I was able to get my white button down, vest, jacket, pants, belt and shoes. They had some sweet loafer dress shoes and I really wanted to get them but knew I had to get the classy shoes with laces for my wedding, but the shoes I got felt super comfy and look super clean. All in all it was a good investment because I'll be able to wear it forever, as long as I don't get too fat...
The night rolled around and we walked around City Creek Mall, then headed to the Jazz game. They faced the Brooklyn Nets another team at the bottom of the NBA standings, but the game was actually competitive and fun to watch the whole time. Lots of highlight dunks and lots of threes. The only sucky thing about the night was missing the Owyhee basketball game. Owyhee won by over 20 and I was told they had a lot of highlight dunks. The game ended around 10:30 and we headed back to the hotel and called it a night.
We got packed up and headed out around 9:15am. On the road and made it to Tremonton around 10:30am and talked to my family again before we headed home to Boise. We got back on the road around 12:00pm. The roads were clear and not much traffic the whole way. Was an easy but boring drive, especially when Bree fell asleep for 2 hours in the truck lol. We got to my in-laws around 3:30pm and picked up our dog, Patrick. He was so excited to see us and was crying and jumping around when he saw us. He is the best dog ever. We finally got to our house around 4:00pm, unloaded the truck, and time to relax... a vacation from the vacation. Made some video edits, some graphics, sent 15 emails to tournaments for TimberStone and prepped for the upcoming week.
Is it summer in February? A low of 29° and a high of 48°!!! You would think it is summer with 70 players on the course!!! Although, it was not as nice as the weather made it seem to be. The sun never really came out from behind the clouds and even though it said it was 48° it felt like 38°. We still had 70 players from 10:30am - 2:00pm. It was nice to have more people at the course and it makes the time go by a lot faster. Its not as much fun when you just sit in silence for 9 hours of the day. Got back home around 7:00pm and was greeted by the happiest pup (hes also the sassy pup you'll ever meet). Bree had some amazing grilled chicken, with rice, and broccoli made for us. Finished up 2 more graphics for Owyhee. It was a great night to finish up the week!
On to week 6!
